The New England Journal of Medicine’s Scathing Editorial on the President’s Unprecedented Handling of the Corona Virus 19 Pandemic

The New England Journal of Medicine, established in 1812, is one of the most respected medical journals in the world. It has earned, and maintained this level of esteem through an unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality medical information available. Published weekly, it is the voice of the Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
“The Journal” is divided into several sections including an Editorial offering.
In the October 8, 2020, issue, 383, pages 1479-1480, the Editors of The New England Journal of Medicine  broke with their long standing tradition of maintaining non-partisanship to provide an erudite and scathing appraisal of the President’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Titled “Dying in a Leadership Vacuum”, it represents the medical perspective of our president’s lack of cohesive leadership in this health emergency. And, it is much appreciated, and a long time in coming.
Everyone should read it.
