American politics looks so ludicrous because of our prejudice, and inability to prioritize.
With all the problems at home and abroad demanding our attention, what issue does the right put front and center because it gets the vote out. SEX of course. Who to ridicule, limit, and accuse of pedophilia. One has to wonder, do these people have their own sexual issues? Because if they do, call them out on it. Sexuality is complex, and needs to remain private. Focusing on it, and making it the priority is not the solution to our many pressing problems, it only clouds our thinking, and further divides us. Please leave them alone, stop creating problems where there are none, and focus on the problems that need to be solved.
